The landscape-led Montenegro masterplan is conceived as a sensory experience, fostering a deeper connection between its visitors and the pristine ecological setting. A journey through tall deciduous trees, articulated by a series of paths, provides access to a hotel and wellness centre with associated amenities alongside private residences and villas. 

Ensuring interventions emphasise a low-impact approach, the project has been shaped by the overarching principle of preserving the natural surroundings. The masterplan has been arranged as a direct response to the terrain, conceived as a series of linear volumes aligned to the contours. The volumes have been designed to blend into the landscaping, allowing for large trees to thrive and for nature to remain at the forefront of the design.

The architectural response is simple and honest, with materials and volumes carefully considered to slot in with the evolving landscape throughout the seasons. The facades of the buildings are expressed as a repetition of vertical structural elements resembling the long and narrow trunks of the trees that dominate the existing landscape.
