Situated in Herstmere, the mixed-use development for Ohr Yisrael features an enhanced synagogue and associated facilities, a nursery and a building that offers both residential and commercial spaces.

The scheme aims to meet the growing demands of the local Jewish community, which has seen a significant increase in population over the past two decades. To cater to their needs, our client entrusted us with the task of designing an enhanced synagogue that will provide larger facilities to cater to the growing number of members.

Additionally, the proposal will restore and reinstate the locally-listed building on site, housing a nursery that is currently sharing space with the synagogue and accommodates up to 50 children a day.

The design also incorporates the creation of a mixed-use building that will offer new commercial floor space and eleven well-proportioned apartment units on the upper floors.

The scheme has been recently submitted for planning to Hertsmere Council and is awaiting decision.
